The weather threatened, but 3 Palms delivered. Round 1 of the Saturday Night Lights Series pushed through the elements for a strong night of racing under the lights.
Last weekend, February 14–15, the season came full circle at Freestone County Raceway as champions were crowned and the 27th year of the Texas Winter Series officially came to a close.

Standing on the podium in front of his hometown crowd, Bryson Smith kept it simple, when asked how he got it done, he joked, “Just stay on the gas and try not to crash,” before thanking his mom, dad, brother, and Jesus Christ. A moment Bryson and the hometown fans won’t forget.
