Thanksgiving weekend at Cycle Ranch in Floresville, represents far more than a holiday gathering. It is one of the most established and anticipated motocross traditions in the region, a multi-day event where amateurs, rising pros, and seasoned veterans come together to compete on one of the best tracks Texas has to offer. The weekend opens with a Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, rolls into organized practice on Friday, and launches the three motos format beginning Saturday. Moto family, turkey, and dirt bikes—this weekend has all the ingredients for something special.

Over the years, some of the sport’s biggest names have lined up for this event. One of the most memorable moments came in 2003, when Travis Pastrana and Robbie Reynard went bar-to-bar in an iconic battle, Pastrana ultimately had the edge, and the photos of that race still stand out more than two decades later. They’re far from the only heavy hitters who’ve competed here; riders like Andrew Short, Mike Alessi, Vernon Mckiddie, and more have taken their turn on this track. For up-and-coming racers, this event is a prime chance to make a name for themselves, and for fans, it’s the perfect place to witness the next generation rising through the ranks.

THANKSGIVING DINNER
The weekend begins with the annual Thanksgiving dinner at the track on Thursday. Last year, more than 100 people gathered to celebrate and give thanks with their moto family, and another strong turnout is expected this weekend. The Cycle Ranch crew will provide the main dishes—turkey and lamb—while families are encouraged to bring their favorite potluck-style sides to share with the community.

Thursdays Thanksgiving Dinner is priceless; all they ask is that you sign up ahead of time so they can get an accurate headcount. What better way to start a weekend of moto than spending Thanksgiving side by side with the people who share your passion.
RACING FORMAT
Racing kicks off Saturday on the national track, shifts to the night track that afternoon for Moto Two, and wraps up Sunday back on the national track for the third and final motos. Pro riders will run two 15-minute motos as they compete for a $5,000 purse, while all other classes will race four laps per moto.

SATURDAY NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
Saturday evening will feature movies, bonfires, and over $30,000 in prizes to be given away—yes, you read that right. Cycle Ranch has stacked the sponsor list for the USA MX Championships, and the giveaways are going to be handed out Saturday evening during the Moto Mania Awards Ceremony. One lucky person will even score a 4-day, 3-night Vegas vacation, PLUS a half-day luxury rental. Walk through the gate, grab your raffle ticket, and you’ve got a shot. It’s as easy as pie

Big Texas moto weekend ahead! We’ll be covering the races and posting photos all weekend. See y’all at the gate!
