I got the chance to get up close and personal with Colorado’s own, Taylor Burley. While out at Aztec Family Raceway i got the chance to ask him some questions on how his season went last year and what his goals are for the 2016 racing season.
I’m 22 years old, from Denver Colorado. Born and raised here. I started racing in 2012. But 2014 was my first real season of actually being in to it and wanting to do good. I don’t really have big competitors, I just show up at the races and race who I need to race and try and do my best. I ride for myself and for the man above, but if you mean sponsor wise I ride for Gforce powersports and serial cables. My goals for this year are to go out for a few championships locally and make Lorettas this year.
-How was your 2015 race season? “It was decent, I wish I could have done better overall in the B’s. But I won a college boy championship and that was my goal in the beginning of the season.”
-What did you work on over the off season for the upcoming race year? “I didn’t really work on anything, I told myself over the off season I would get in better shape then before… but I have been slacking.”
-What do you do to get your self race ready for the weekend? “Just get my self ready mentally and physically and I’m good go!”
