If you checked the forecast earlier in the week, Saturday evening didn’t look promising for Round one of the Saturday Night Light Series at 3 Palms Motocross Park. Texas weather was unpredictable, and a rainout felt almost inevitable. But instead of pulling the plug, the crew at 3 Palms went for it and it paid off. Even with a brief lightning delay and a light drizzle during the program, the track came to life under the lights, setting the stage for a solid night of racing.
The Saturday Night Lights series continues to be the perfect mix, giving newer riders a chance to get comfortable off the gate without the pressure, while still bringing in enough experienced racers to keep things fast and interesting. At the end of the day, we were just glad to see gates dropping again, and we are already looking forward to Round two on May 2, 2026.
Now, let’s break down some battles that stood out Saturday night.
125CC C CLASS LIGHTS UP THE TRACK WITH THE BEST RACING OF THE NIGHT
Some of the best racing of the night came out of the 125cc C class. In the opening moto, Toby Harberson wasted no time getting to work, grabbing the holeshot and getting into a groove immediately. Behind him, though, it was a full-on battle. Homer “Allen” Brothers IV, Connor Byrd, and Anthony Palomarez were going at it from the start, swapping lines and keeping things interesting. Harberson checked out up front, but the fight for second was where the real show was, with Brothers and Byrd going bar to bar while Palomarez lurked close behind, just waiting for his moment.
When the white flag flew, Byrd was all over Brothers. But halfway through the final lap, something went sideways, and Byrd dropped back to fourth. That opened the door for Palomarez to sneak into third. Palomarez held on, but Byrd came charging back, keeping him honest all the way to the finish.
Harberson kept the clinic in session during moto two, once again checking out up front while the chaos unfolded behind him.
Colin White grabbed an awesome start and found himself right in the mix early with Colin Raynal, Connor Byrd, and Anthony Palomarez behind him.
Raynal worked his way into second on lap two and settled into a solid pace, but behind him, White and Byrd went at it for third and it all came down to the final stretch, where Byrd made a last-second move at the finish line to steal the spot.

50CC 7–8 BATTLE: HITT VS. BEZUIDENHOUT
The Micro 7–8 class may have only had four entries, but the battle between Nicholas Hitt and Oliver Bezuidenhout brought the heat. Hitt jumped out front early in moto one, but Bezuidenhout was right there and wasted no time turning up the pressure. By lap two, he made a slick mid lap pass to take over the lead.
Hitt fired right back, reclaiming the position before the white flag flew. Bezuidenhout stayed aggressive, but a small mistake early on the last lap gave Hitt the edge he needed to seal the deal. Even so, Bezuidenhout’s creative lines kept things exciting the whole way.
The second moto played out much like the first, with Nicholas Hitt and Oliver Bezuidenhout once again battling up front. Hitt grabbed the early lead, while Bezuidenhout stayed within striking distance and applied pressure throughout the race.
On the final lap, a big bobble from Bezuidenhout just before the finish line disabled his bike, forcing him to give up second place to Everett Coker. Hitt secured the overall win with a perfect 1-1 finish, while Coker claimed second overall (3-2) and Bezuidenhout settled for third (2-3).
DAX WILES UNSTOPPABLE IN SUPERMINI 12–16 CLASS
The Supermini 12–16 class brought it all night, especially in moto one. Dylan Wiles led early, but Dax Wiles made the move on lap three and started to check out.
By the end, Dax had a solid lead, while Dylan had his hands full holding off Jake Beason. Petretti stayed in the mix but came home fourth.
Moto two was all Dax, he came out flying and led every lap, absolutely hauling from gate drop to the checkered flag. Petretti stepped it up for second, Beason stayed consistent with another third, and Kaede Langston grabbed fourth. Dylan Wiles finished fifth to round out the top five.

CULLISON CRUISES WHILE PODIUM BATTLE HEATS UP IN P-DUB CLASS
Laken Cullison wasted no time taking control of the P-dub class Saturday night at 3 Palms. From the first drop of the gate, he rocketed into the lead, with Kayson Polvado and Chase Farris rounding out the top three.
For most of the moto, it looked like the top three were set in stone… until the last lap. That’s when Farris came alive, putting relentless pressure on Polvado.
The two went bar-to-bar all the way to the finish, but Polvado held his ground and secured second by the slimmest of margins.
Meanwhile, more chaos was unfolding just behind them. Eli McKeever, Callan Rardin, and Dallas Dienger were locked in a nonstop battle for fourth. Dienger came charging late, making a pass on Rardin and nearly stealing fourth from McKeever at the line. In the end, it was McKeever, Dienger, then Rardin.
Moto two kicked off with Kayson Polvado grabbing the holeshot and leading early, setting the pace through the opening lap. But it didn’t take long for Laken Cullison and Chase Farris to make their presence known as both riders made quick moves, taking over the top two spots and pushing Polvado back to third.
Behind them, Dallas Dienger held steady in fourth while Callan Rardin rounded out the top five. From there, things settled in, with the order staying locked for the remainder of the moto.
